and for good reason.

We went to many hidden gems in Iceland that I wouldn’t think of going to if I were on my own. John and Eamon were super knowledgable about where and when to go to different spots for the best photography opportunities. They were also very passionate about sharing their thinking behind composition and photo editing. Would definitely recommend this trip to any first timers in Iceland!

This expansive side of Iceland offers incredible diversity, from endless lava fields to volcanos, to plunging sea cliffs, to countless waterfalls. Here, you'll find unique beauty, unlike any other place on Planet Earth.

On this 6-day adventure, three expert guides will lead you to iconic locations on the south coast, and even venture into the alien planet-like Highlands, weather permitting. Over the course of your journey, your guides will also teach you photography skills, ranging from beginner to advanced.

All skill levels are welcome on this trip.

Choosing this photography workshop for our trip to Iceland was an extraordinary decision. John and Eamon were not just tour guides but mentors, guiding us through compositions, gear, settings, and sharing valuable photography advice.

What made this trip special were the spontaneous stops, capturing random subjects in the midnight sun. These moments were even more enjoyable than the scheduled destinations. John and Eamon’s flexibility and willingness to accommodate everyone’s requests added a personalized touch.

We encountered a hiccup with our accommodations, but the issue was quickly resolved. My only suggestion would be to scout the accommodations better in advance, but I’m truly thankful that it all worked out perfectly.

Starting near the capital in the west, you'll travel along the coast, southbound to the charming seaside town of Borgarbraut.

You'll visit the iconic Skogafoss waterfall (any Game of Thrones fans?), Dyrholaey, Reykjanes, Hekla volcano, and more unbelievable southern spots.

If the weather permits, you'll venture into the Highlands to see Þórsmörk's winding riverbeds.

This trip was one of the most memorable times of my life. John and Eamon were incredible tour guides and people as well. If you’re even considering going on this trip i’d just skip the thinking and put in your credit card info. Will not forget this week and will definitely be going back to iceland again.

The trip will consist of a combination of drive-up locations and short hikes. Icelandic terrain can be rough, so you should be able to do moderate exercise.

Traveling around and taking photos with a group of wonderful people is something I’ll never forget. Eamon and John are both amazing guides and made every day an adventure. Highly recommend this trip.
